long considered the LANTEC workhorse. With exceptional mass-transfer
& pressure-drop characteristics this aggressively priced packing
finds few (if any) competitors. It is used regularly for increasing
existing column capacities, reducing new column diameters, and reducing
overall packed depths. 3.5" LANPAC may be used in columns whose
diameters are 2ft (610mm) or greater and is available in a variety of
plastic materials. |

Available
in 2 sizes (2.3" & 3.5"), these packings push the envelope
of performance to new limits by offering one of the lowest pressure-drop
to mass-transfer ratios available in a random packing. With a packing
factor of 8, #4 NUPAC not only boasts an exceptionally low pressure-drop
for a random packing, it has a mass transfer equal to or greater than
that of packings having surface areas, and consequently press-drop,
twice as high. #2 NUPAC for any given application, will yield
mass-transfer values (HTU, HETP,...), and thus packed heights, at least
30% lower than other packings in its class, while maintaining a
remarkably low pressure-drop with a packing factor of 16. Using NUPAC
can save on equipment, operating, and maintenance costs by reducing the
size, increasing the capacity, and increasing the efficiency of a
mass-transfer unit. #2 NUPAC may be used in columns whose diameters are
1.5ft (457mm) or greater and #4 NUPAC in columns whose diameters are 4ft
(1,220mm) or greater. And, both are available in a variety of plastic
materials. |

high-performance metal tower packing for distillation, gas absorption,
fume scrubbing, and heat transfer applications. Q-PAC changes all the
rules by providing the best of all worlds : the effciency and capacity
of structured packings, with the economy and versatility of random
packings. Compared to the popular imtp packing 4Q-PAC I : 20-25% better
gas-liquid contacting efficiency than IMTP-40, with lower pressure drop.
Q-PAC II : slightly better contacting efficiency than IMTP-40, with 40%
lower pressure drop. Q-PAC III : 20% better efficiency than IMTP-50,
with 25% lower pressure. |
